Dr. Sebastian Gorka is Military Affairs Fellow with the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and teaches counter-terrorism and irregular warfare to the US Special Forces and law enforcement communities. Since 9/11 he has trained over 1,500 counter-terrorism and intelligence officers from more than 50 nations including Iraq and Afghanistan, and has advised the US and NATO militaries at the three-star level. He is a former member of the British Territorial Army’s Intelligence & Security Group (22 Coy) and lectures frequently on the strategy of al Qaeda at such institutions as US Special Operations Command, US Army Special Operations Command, the National Counter Terrorism Center, West Point, Fort Leavenworth’s School of Advanced Military Studies, and the FBI. Dr. Gorka has published more than 150 articles and monographs and is co-editor and author of Toward a Grand Strategy Against Terrorism (McGraw Hill, 2011).
